This holiday season, April Rochester must decide if her first love is merely “Home for Christmas” – or home for good.
James Frost, the black sheep of the family, is back in Carol Falls, Vermont, to build a big box store and prove he’s a success. His plans derail when he learns his high school sweetheart has moved back to town also, along with her autistic son, Marcus.
Ten years ago Jimmy and April eloped, only to be torn apart when April’s parents insisted on an annulment. Their love for each other never died, however, and this could be their second chance.
But James has been hiding behind a mountain of secrets, one of them involving baby Holly, the abandoned child recently found at the family farm.
And all of James’ well-kept secrets are about to come tumbling down.

Grade: B+ (Four Stars)
This was a beautiful story. Perfect for the Christmas holidays, it’s sweet, heartwarming, and very touching! This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and in this series, and I thought it was lovely. You don’t need to read the series in order to enjoy the beautiful stories in them. I loved how the main character wasn’t your typical hero, and the woman he loves, and her child both weren’t cookie cutter characters either. It’s beautiful when an author can take something we don’t expect and work it into the story. The young child is autistic, and you don’t see many fiction stories, especially romance, dealing with an issue like that. I thought the author did a great job with that. The only plot line that’s a bit confusing if you haven’t read the other stories is the mystery around baby Holly, and how that plays into everything, but I think as you go on through the book, you understand it enough. I think anyone who loves a holiday story, a second chance story, or just a sweet love story with genuine characters would love this story quite a lot.
